NextWave Wireless to acquire GO Networks

Today, the company announced it will acquire GO Networks Inc., maker of carrier class, 802./11-based mobile broadband systems.

It also listed its stock on the Nasdaq Global Market, trading temporarily under the symbol WAVEV. Its stock closed up 1.4 percent at $10.85.

Based in Mountain View, Calif, GO Networks has focused its marketing on China where, last year, it won a Technology Innovation Award¬¨‚Ćfrom the China Center for Information Development (CCID) publication, “Communications Weekly.”
