Clearwire lowers prices for Atlanta launch

Clearwire is scheduled to “officially” launch its Atlanta WiMax services Tuesday, June 16. Since there’s no big media event planned — apparently it is all local and consumer-oriented, which makes sense — there hasn’t been much in the way of official communications from the company. But since we know people outside of Atlanta are interested in what kind of pricing Clearwire is offering there, we have put together this sampler of service plans and prices — but beware, this could change at any second!

(Even though we included such a chart with our recent Clearwire NTK report, using prices for the Portland, Ore., market, those prices have *already* changed to sync with the newer, lower Atlanta pricing for some of the options.)

Anyway, here is the pricing sampler chart — saving you the hassle of spoofing the Clear registration page, which makes you enter a qualified address to get this info. All the prices below are for 2-year plans, for which the company will eliminate the $35 “activation fee.” There are also some lower introductory prices, so if you are really shopping then go to the site and see what kind of deal you can get.
