Cisco launches simulation game: myPlanNet 1.0

Cisco has launched myPlanNet 1.0, a simulation game in which you play the CEO of a service provider who must manage the company as it evolves from the “stone age” of dial-up, through the broadband- and mobile-connected eras, into the dawning of the “medianet age.” Connect your citizens with the next-generation IP network and guide them into the Connected Life with the wonders of visual networking. Reach for the top and engage in discussions with your fellow players. [note: this language was copied from the Cisco website].

Actually let’s play a different game here, one called “Spot the Irony” in paragraph above. Here are two things you need to know:

  • Cisco requires you to download the game to your computer.
  • The game only works on Windows.

Oh, by the way, there’s a trailer of the game, but it’s totally useless. Sigh.
