Xencode launches XenSurvey for cloud-based cellular broadband network analytics

Xencode, Inc., a developer of cloud-based applications for mobile communications, has announced the launch of XenSurvey – the first software-as-a-service (SaaS) network analytics platform to combine the flexibility of everyday Android smartphones and the scalability of the cloud to measure, analyze and compare multiple cellular broadband networks. XenSurvey empowers every telecom professional with a powerful, carrier-grade network analytics tool and eliminates the cost of specialty equipment. It accomplishes this by synchronizing off-the-shelf 4G-capable Android devices coupled with a powerful, cloud-based management system for conducting GPS-accurate network surveys in the field.

Unlike consumer-grade bandwidth testing apps, XenSurvey was designed with the carrier in mind; as detailed performance and quality metrics are collected, they are stored in the cloud, so vital network intelligence can be quickly and easily viewed and shared across the whole enterprise.

The complete XenSurvey solution is composed of an Android app that gathers network metrics, and a cloud-based analytics engine that receives, formats, and converts the raw data into meaningful information that is clear, uncluttered, and easily analyzed by a telecom professional. A key feature of XenSurvey is the ability to measure different cellular networks at the same time by synchronizing multiple Android devices during a single survey, and simultaneously delivering performance and quality metrics from operators such as Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile.
