Gowex launches free Wi-Fi service in Corsica

Gowex, the Madrid-based Wi-Fi operator, has begun providing free Wi-Fi service in the Ajaccio, the capital of the island of Corsica (birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte and popular holiday island), just in time for the Tour de France and the summer holiday season. The Tour de France is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and Corsica, which has never hosted the Tour, will be the its starting place.

Ajaccio is the first town in Corsica that will enjoy free Wi-Fi, followed by the beach areas. Corsica has over 65,000 residents and nearly three million tourists who visit annually. You will find Gowex’s service at the Plage de Lava, Port Charles Ornano, Place du Diamant, Place Miot and Square Campinchi, amongst other public spaces. You will see the “WifiGratuit_PaysAjaccien” network on your device. You enter a username and password. You can use this same username and password to connect to other Gowex networks in New York, Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Madrid and Dublin.
