Apple dominates mobile and tablet market share: iPad at 22 percent

Netmarketshare reports that as of August 2011, the iPad had 22.5 percent of the tablet and mobile device market. The iPhone has the largest share of the market at 27.39 percent. When combined, Apple’s devices account for almost 50 percent of the tablet and smartphone market.
